Food Link alleviates hunger locally by collecting nutritious food donations from local grocers and caf├ęs, then distributing that food to organizations serving people in need. This program serves low-income individuals and families, including students, the elderly and the physically challenged within local communities.

Additionally, support is provided to local nonprofits by offering excess pastries, cookies, pies and other dessert-type items for meetings, events and conferences so that nonprofits do not need to make these purchases and therefore have more funds for their programs.

In addition to supporting individuals and organizations, Food Link helps to reduce food and other waste and to conserve natural resources.

Since the beginning of the project in April 2012, through February 2015, over 31,000 boxes of food have been collected (estimated retail value over $1,700,000) and distributed, all with our 65+ volunteers. Our volunteers are what make this program a success.
