South Shore Habitat for Humanity is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to building simple, decent homes in partnership with families in need.
South Shore Habitat for Humanity was founded in Norwell in 1986 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. In its first six years, with the cooperation of several South Shore towns, the organization was able to help six families make desperately needed renovations on their homes. In 1992, South Shore Habitat constructed its first single-family home in Weymouth. Since then, we have completed 43 homes in 18 towns, helping over 70 adults and 150 children build a place to call home.
