Request your song on WAAF, and support the food bank

For the past 24 years, WAAF has held a fundraising event to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank.  This year’s event, “Rock for Change,” will take place on December 9th, 10th and 11th. Greg Hill of The Hill-Man Morning Show will be on air around the clock.  Listeners will “pay to play” their song requests, starting at a minimum of $50.  (The more obscure songs will cost more, but it will be fun, and well worth it.)

In 1991, Greg Hill, host of WAAF’s Hill-Man Morning Show, started a fundraiser for The Greater Boston Food Bank by trying to sit in every seat at Fenway Park. That year, he raised $22,000.

Every year since then, Greg and the team at WAAF have held fundraisers and today are among the Food Bank’s most generous supporters. Over the years, WAAF has raised more than $1,500,000 for GBFB and other regional food banks, enough to provide more than 4.5 million meals.
